alanThere are plenty of opportunities for parents and grandparents to become involved, both formally and informally, in school life. Throughout the year you will be welcome at our special events which include, summer plays, concerts, pantomimes, nativities, meetings and talks, dances and other social events, bonfire night, the notoriously stamina-sapping Summer Ball, Prize Giving and Sports Day. Friends of Bodiam Manor organise fund-raising events during the year, such as the Christmas and Summer Fayres. Their contribution is greatly valued by both pupils and staff. We know that our parents have a wealth of expertise and experience.
Many parents are happy to share their knowledge with the school, visiting classrooms and talking with children. This has recently included talks by parents on: family tree research, ancient building structures and scripting for plays! We are usually happy to consider all such requests and appreciate the value to our pupils. If you feel you would like to share your skills please contact the class teacher and the Head.
